Afroscope

The FCAT 2022 programme offers six out-of-competition sections in parallel to the official sections. On the one hand, the traditional sections Afroscope, Miradas Españolas and La Tercera Raíz, and on the other, the thematic retrospective Between the Ink and the Screen, the Atteyat al-Abnoudy focus and the Special Sessions. 

Afroscope offers five relevant titles of the year 2021, among them those that open and close FCAT 22, Walking on Water (Niger) which will be the opening film of FCAT and The Gravedigger’s Wife (Somalia) as the closing film, both presented at the last Cannes Festival.
