Sitabaomba - Francophone Zebus Land

This is the story of Ly, a peasant from Antananarivo with a heart too pure to live on land coveted by the presidents of the republic, coronels and forean speculators. His daughter, along with famous artists, try to defense the peasant soul in danger.

Lova Nantenaina was born in 1977 in Madagascar. He left his island in 1999 and studied social sciences and audiovisual in France and in Reunion Island before joining the cinema school of Toulouse (ESAV). He currently shares his time between Madagascar and Reunion Island. He has directed several short films, including “With Almost Nothing…” purchased by France Televisions. His first feature film “The Malagasy Way”, had a successful run in international festivals and in French cinemas. His last two documentaries, “Zanaka” and “Morning Star” were produced mainly by his Malagasy production and distribution company, Endemika Films.
Endemika Films. Co-managed by Eva Lova-Bély and administered by Candy Radifera and Jonathan Narlysh Rafidiarison, it is one of the only companies dedicated solely to cinema in Madagascar. Based in Antananarivo was created in 2008 to produce and distribute films by Malagasy authors (mainly documentaries) for festivals, television channels and national and international cinemas.
