Zoubeir Ben Bouchta (Tangier, 1964) | Playwright
He is one of Morocco’s best-known playwrights. He has published seven dramas, some of them translated into Spanish and English. His plays are frequently performed in Tangiers, Rabat and Casablanca, some have been taken to New York, others to Moroccan television.
Trino Cruz (Gibraltar, 1960) | Writer
He advocates literature without frontiers as a way of bringing people together. He is passionate about the creative side of the human being in its broadest sense. He is currently writing a novel inspired by the Spanish protectorate in Morocco.
Juan José Téllez (Algeciras, 1958) | Writer and journalist
A contributor to various media, he is also the founder of several countercultural magazines and collectives. He has received several journalistic and literary awards, and has given lectures and courses in several universities and cultural centres. Scriptwriter of numerous documentaries and musical shows, especially flamenco.
Javier Rioyo Jambrina (Madrid, 1952) | Director of the Instituto Cervantes in Tangier.
He has a degree in Information Sciences. He has studied Political Science, Sociology and Philology. He has been a presenter and director of cultural programmes on Canal Plus, TVE and Antena Tres, and has been director of the Cervantes Institute centres in New York and Lisbon. He is also a scriptwriter, director, producer and writer.
